Overview

The Financial Analyst II performs numerous financial activities including forecasting, modeling, budgeting, and reporting, for the Finance organization.  Owns complex processes and contributes positively to the team environment. Works independently and proactively creates views and insights based on business results and performance to leadership. This role will initially focus on sales and margin planning and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and preparation of the sales and margin forecast and budget
  • Proactively analyzes performance and identifies trends; calls out appropriate risk and opportunities
  • Applies business focused thinking to drive the accuracy of forecasts and plans; understands and applies the relationship between business events and financial impacts
  • Creates analyses and insights to ensure continuous progress towards achieving financial and performance management goal
  • Creates, maintains and supports forecasting of performance KPIs
  • Serves as a key business partner to areas outside of Finance

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills necessary to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers; use results to create insightful analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions, work in a collaborative style
  • Creative thinker who can bring innovative ideas and approaches to solve issues
  • Passion for driving and delivering results
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can confidently articulate a point of view but also highlight the risks and opportunities
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (MBA a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with Financial Planning, Forecasting and Business Strategy
